Our story.
Mohata Fabrics is an Ichalkaranji-based manufacturer and trader of fabrics, supplying garment factories across India and exporting to buyers worldwide. Operating from Maharashtra's textile heartland, we combine in-house production capacity with a wide range of polyester-cotton and cotton qualities across both product lines.

Two decades of woven fabric expertise.
Mohata Fabrics is based in Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, one of India's most concentrated textile manufacturing centers. Known as the "Manchester of Maharashtra," Ichalkaranji has produced fabric for Indian garment factories for generations, and Mohata Fabrics has been part of that story since its founding in 2004.
What began as a trading operation grew steadily into a manufacturing and trading business, driven by a simple principle: deliver consistent quality on time, every time.
Over the years, we have built deep expertise in two woven categories. Pocketing is a discipline of precision: a pocket may be hidden inside a garment, but its resistance to wear and its dimensional stability after washing determine whether a finished garment holds up in the field. Shirting is a discipline of surface: counts, finishes, and shade consistency are on display in every shirt front, so the fabric has to be right the first time and on every reorder.
Today, Mohata Fabrics operates with in-house production capacity and a product range covering denim and non-denim pocketing alongside 100% cotton and poly-cotton shirting. We serve domestic garment factories and export to buyers in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, and other apparel manufacturing hubs.

How we operate
Manufacturing strength, trading reach.
Most fabric suppliers are either mills or traders. Mohata Fabrics operates as both, which gives buyers a wider range and faster response than working with a single-format supplier.
In-house manufacturing
Our Ichalkaranji facility handles weaving, processing, and finishing under one roof. Manufacturing in-house gives us direct control over quality, construction, and lead times. When a buyer needs a specific GSM or finish adjustment, we respond without routing through a third party.

Trading reach

Quality Control at Every Stage
Yarn inspection, grey fabric testing, finished fabric testing, and pre-shipment inspection are standard for every order. Our quality process targets four-point system grading and shade consistency batch to batch.

Custom Construction Development
Buyers with specific construction, composition, or finish requirements can work with our technical team to develop a custom fabric. Sample lead time is typically 15 to 21 days; bulk production follows on confirmation.

From loom to dispatch, every stage runs in-house at Ichalkaranji, keeping quality and lead times under our control.
Weaving
Shuttle and shuttle-less looms producing grey fabric in a range of constructions. Picks per inch are maintained consistently across production runs, ensuring batch-to-batch repeatability for buyers who run repeat programs.
Finishing
Grey fabric goes through scouring, bleaching, calendering, and sanforizing on site. Finishing under one roof allows specification changes to be handled quickly and quality to be signed off before the fabric moves to dispatch.
Quality control and dispatch
Every finished lot is graded to four-point inspection standards before packing. Shade continuity and dimensional tolerances are checked batch to batch. Packed fabric is stored in a dust-controlled warehouse before dispatch.
