Denim Pocketing

Mohata’s denim pocketing twill is woven in a tight 2/20 twill construction that delivers the durability denim pockets demand. The 65/35 polyester-cotton blend balances the natural softness of cotton with the dimensional stability and strength of polyester, making it reliable in high-wear applications like jeans front and back pockets.

The calendered finish produces a smooth, low-friction surface that reduces drag during garment assembly, helping sewing operators maintain consistent stitch quality. The sanforized treatment ensures that residual shrinkage after washing is within industry-standard tolerances, so pocket bags stay dimensionally true wash after wash.

Available in natural (greige), bleached white, and piece-dyed to customer specifications. Greige stock is available for fast delivery; dyed and finished stock on indent.

Typical applications: Jeans, denim jackets, casual trousers, dungarees.

A lighter-weight alternative to twill pocketing for fashion denim applications where minimizing bulk in slim-fit and stretch denim silhouettes is a priority. The 30 x 30 plain weave construction gives a clean, flat surface that sits smoothly without adding unnecessary weight or stiffness.

The higher polyester content (80%) provides excellent dimensional stability and resistance to moisture absorption, which reduces pocket deformation after repeated washing. The calendered finish creates a fine sheen that reads as premium quality in finished garment audits.
