Sustainability in fabric manufacturing is not a single certification or a marketing label. It is a set of decisions made at every stage: what yarn you source, how you process it, what chemicals you use, and how you manage waste and water.
At Mohata Fabrics, we are working to document and improve our practices at each of these stages. We offer recycled-content options in our polyester-blend pocketing range for buyers whose brands require it, and we follow standard chemical safety practices across our finishing operations.

Our approach
Four areas of focus.

Responsible raw material sourcing
We source yarn from established Indian spinning mills with documented quality standards. For recycled-content fabrics, we work with spinners who can provide material traceability documentation.

Recycled content options
We can supply fabric made with recycled polyester (rPET) for buyers whose brands require it, primarily in polyester-blend pocketing constructions. Recycled-content constructions are available on indent.

Water and energy
Our finishing processes use water-efficient dyeing and finishing equipment. We are working toward reducing effluent load and energy intensity per metre of fabric produced.

Chemical safety
We follow standard chemical management practices in finishing to keep finished fabric within safe limits for harmful substances. Buyers who require OEKO-TEX or REACH compliance documentation should request it at the time of order.
Recycled polyester pocketing, on demand.
For buyers whose brands require recycled-content fabric, we can supply pocketing made with recycled polyester (rPET) yarn. These constructions are available in 65/35 and higher polyester-content blends, covering denim, casual, and uniform pocketing applications.
Recycled-content pocketing is supplied on indent. Traceability documentation and GRS certification support are available for buyers who require it for their own compliance.
